Nevertheless she is smart and I agree with her MySpace/Facebook analysis. Case in point with my life is that all my friends who grew up in Texas in a good neighborhood joined Facebook without blinking but are not on MySpace while all my friends in Los Angeles initially joined MySpace and didn't know anything about Facebook. NOW I have new friends popping up on Facebook daily.

Wow. You know I'm a big Danah Boyd fan - the study SS references- about class divisions in online social media usage is fascinating. (Okay, maybe not to everyone, but I thought it was.)

To be included in the same series as her is quite an honor. And I could not agree with her more - in fact, I've used a similar analogy to approaching a group of friends sitting in a park or a pub. (Mine was a diner, but hey, I'm from New Jersey, so what do you expect?)

If I may offer a counter point, nope that's not true. Wrong, that isn't right. No way, you have it all backwards. There I said my case.
