I've had the personal pleasure to have presented work to Keith. After a spot I did for McDonald's, I got a call from both Keith and Bob saying it was one of the best spots ever done for McDs. Keith also sent me written memo as well and I keep that in a safe place and treasure it. Keith represented the old Needham Harper. I started at DDB when they had merged with DDB. This merger combined the pathos and energy of Needham Harper with the smartness of Doyle Dane Bernbach. Keith tried to embody both. And did. He expected the best from his people. But our agency maintained a sense of community. Of friendship. And with Mr. Scarpelli at the helm, we kept that sensibility. With Keith now retired and Bob busy running a global behemoth, a lot of that feeling of love and community is lacking. But putting that aside, all my best to Mr. Reinhard. He deserves to be among the ranks of David Ogilvy, Bill Bernbach, Scalli and McCabe, and others. We will always treasure "You deserve a break today." and "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." Like Mr. Postaer, I've learned so much about doing great advertising from both Both and Keith.
Congratulations, Mr. Reinhard.
On a side note, Mr. Hal Riney died recently. Another man who has influenced us all in advertising. Godspeed to you Hal.

Keith is a life-affirming presence at an agency that could use it right about now. For that matter so is Bob. Both men have helped me (personally and professionally) in ways too numerous to catalogue. Godspeed to DDB and everyone who works there.
