WE HEAR THAT…W+K New York is headed for some layoffs in the next few days. Our email and call to HR has yet to be returned.

As one of our tipsters told us, “they need to get some new business. they lost Aquas and haven’t got anything new in a long time.” Well, at least they still have Tor. What are we talking about? That’s Grey isn’t it. Guess Tor’s little video is still fresh in our nightmares minds. What we should have said is, at least these still have Todd.

Let’s be honest, W+K NYC has never won anything. Everything they got was handed to them from Portland.

Those guys SHOULD be on shakey ground.

layoffs are never a great topic… because at the end these guys and girls have families at home and mortgage to pay..

I was at the Adweek creative conference in Miami in 2006, and some former W&K New York guys were on stage, bragging on how much better the New York office was than the Portland one.

true about wk nyc being in the shitter. management is the problem, as a former employee once told me. I mean shit, they didn’t even get into the damn packaged food pitch a certain agency in LA took away from publicis NYC.

two people at the helm need to leave badly but it’s unlikely that will happen. tor on the other hand is doing grey. he is long gone.

I agree with ‘thefounder.’ It’s all well and good to have a fun or insightful blog, but lightly posting rumors about ‘dropping bodies’ is a little bit off I think.

I think it’s great to let those who “toil away in the mines” know what they are in for. Post way, post aaawaaaayy.

WKNY is insecure. Despite the fact that it may be warranted, that’s their first problem.
