Chuck Brymer, worldwide president and CEO of DDB, recently sent an email to staffers titled, “How Sweet It Is!,” to announce their win of more than half of Unilever’s global ice cream portfolio.

I screamed…you screamed…we all screamed for ice cream…and we won!!!

DDB has been awarded more than half of Unilever’s global ice cream portfolio, to be exact. Along with the win came high praise from Unilever, including that they loved our thinking, our ideas, and our passion for the business. All of which resulted in awarding us the global “heart” brands, the dessert brands, and the US brands, including Breyer’s, Klondike, Popsicle and Good Humor.

I have already thanked the pitch team, but everyone at DDB should take pride in this win. It was a herculean effort and Bob and I want to thank everyone who contributed.

Now, let’s savor the win, enjoy our new client, and deliver some great work.
