Christina Applegate is the latest star to get somewhat undressed for PETA. Can we just go ahead and call her Kelly? Yes, she’s got that new show, Samantha Who?, which is performing surprisingly well in the ratings game. No matter. To us, she’ll always just be Kelly Bundy. The campaign is called “Fur Get Me Not” and is a holiday appeal for shoppers to bypass the rabbit lined hoods with matching raccoon cuffs.

In an interview, PETA asked Applegate what prompted her to go vegetarian.

“I was eating lunch on the Married With Children set, and they served me some kind of meat (I don’t even know the names of them all anymore because it’s been so long). I looked down and there was blood on my plate, and it was that realization, that I can’t eat something that has been alive, I just can’t do it. So I stopped, and that was it. That was the last time.”

It all comes back to Married With Children, don’t it? Ask the Russians. Their version of the show is a big time hit.

Kudos to Christina Applegate for this ad and, most importantly, her beliefs. I came to be a vegetarian much the same way…after biting into a hamburger some 25 years ago and realizing this was the flesh of a cow. I spit out that mouthful and have been strict vegetarian since. Keep up the good work, PETA.

I live in Greece and I am vegetarian for 22 years. I feel great about it. We need more famous people do the same as Christina. I love you PETA. We are here to support you.
