Hot + Heavy Rumors: Saatchi & Saatchi
November 7, 2007
We hear that… Quite a few folks at Saatchi and Saatchi Los Angeles are looking to jump ship. It seems that staffers have heard the rumor mill, which is saying that the shop may be downsizing or closing all together with the firm’s business moving to the New York office.
Now the Los Angeles office of S&S holds on of their major clients, Toyota, so we’re thinking that if you want to place bets, the shop is just downsizing. We contacted the press team over there and have yet to hear back. We’ll keep you posted.

I worked at Team One for 15 years and am pretty confident that’s a misunderstanding. The Toyota Dealer work has moved to New York very recently. But, it’s only a very small part of the business. This is my first time on the site – this is a great resource. And lots of fun. Francesca@basicrecruiting.net

NY? Everyone in NYC knows that Saatchi NY is a scam factory. For the last few years, there has been an entire team dedicated only to making award-show entry ads that haven’t even run for a sizable audience. This is to raise Saatchi’s creative profile and attract talent, while their real ads suck. They do this as clients ‘look the other way’ so they can get what they want.
If you did some serious investigating and checked VNU media stats for most winning work (before it ran), it would blow the lid off of their unfair and unethical practices.
