Vincent Gallo + Terry Richardson For Belvedere Vodka
November 2, 2007
Page Six is reporting that New York’s own downtown hero, photographer Terry Richardson, will be shooting another usual suspect, director Vincent Gallo, for Belvedere Vodka’s new campaign. Guess the brand is looking to pick up an edgier, more youthful and yet still expensive vodka drinker. Makes sense. Terry recently shot the Tom Ford perfume ads and a campaign for David Beckham’s perfume.
Gallo is no stranger to mugging for brands. He was a Levi’s model before he was the man behind “Buffalo 66.” For another example, check out the vid above for the struggling Helio. While Gallo comes off as charming, this wished-upon-a-star-viral only made us stick to our guns that Helio and Deutsch LA have been moving in the wrong direction. It was uploaded onto YouTube on September 12, 2007 and has only garnered 9,615 views.

I almost wrote there was a rumor but it’s actually been published that terry fucks most, if not all of his models. (was it gawker? perhaps).
so this makes me wonder if gallo…
it would make me very happy. gallo is the ultimate douchenozzle.

MY GOD- so much sleaze, my brain might explode. I actually like some of TR’s work, and I am not anti-sleaze, per se. But damn. I kinda feel dirty just from reading this post.

Hipster culture going mainstream…oxymoron!
Richardson as spoke person does not hold the edge (sex) unless it is asociated with his visual language, therefore the superprick Gallo comes to handy, bringing the sleazy allure to the brand. To easy, but again, alcohol makes all of us easy.
