AdPulp directs us to a W+K event called Ignite Portland. From their website:

“If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.”

Speakers included: Michael Jones, a programmer, on as the wheel turns: Learning to Unicycle; Keith Gerr: Brand is behavior; graphic designer Crystal Beasley: How to cook southern food; Scott Kveton: Free beef and clean bathrooms: the irrelevance of Web 2. and MarcoPolo (a writer at W+K): You Give Good TXT: How to Talk to Someone Romantically Online. We know a few people who are in need of this last talk, so we thought we should post that one above. Enjoy!

It wasn’t a W&K event – they hosted it and may have been involved, but Ignite was developed by Brady Forrester and others, and the community resides on O’Reilly. There’s a whole bunch of them that take place.
