Hey… so maybe those rumors are true about Mediaedge:cia being in a bit of a state? AdWeek is reporting that the agency is “combining the resources of all of its global sports, entertainment and cause-marketing businesses, previously known individually as MEC Sponsorship, Leverage Group and Sponsorcom, to form one new specialty division called MEC Access.”

Sounds like a good idea to us. A little integration of disparate groups never hurt anyone. Communication is the key though. Will the agencies be able to get along? Naturally, we predict a bit of a bumpy road. 

The new unit will be headed in the Americas by Richard Yaffa
