Mediaedge To Lose Cadbury

Everything is about Cadbury these days. Have you noticed? The brand is spinning of their American drinks unit, since no one would buy it (read it here); it’s cutting the IT staff by 15% (read it here) and yet, their chocolate biz is booming (read it here). Of course, all we really care about is that their account is up for review. The incumbent, Mediaedge:cia, is defending, but word on the street is that they haven’t got a chance in hell due to strategic missteps and faulty execution. Not sure who is pitching against them, but we’d put money on Mediaedge losing out questionable gossip or no. You do recall that “Band In A Bubble” mess, right?

We wish we had stats for how many times brands ask the incumbent to participate out of politeness. What do you think – 50% of the time, 65%?
