Hardee’s is in the midst of a shit storm over their recent broadcast spot that features a group of white male students in a classroom, with a female teacher. The boys start rapping about how flat her butt is while, the teacher begins to dance atop her desk and take her blouse off. All this to promote Hardee’s new Patty Melt Thick Burger with flat rye bread. The spot aired during a recent televised Tennessee Titans football game sending the teachers into a rage.

Where do we begin? Yes, it’s kind of funny that white boys are talking about flat buns in opposition to the black male stereotype of wanting nothing, but the biggest ass possible. If they had to launch this spot, just had to, it should of been viral only. It’s for the kids and the kids love it (see the comments on allhiphop or those on YouTube). So why not save some cash on the media buy, really target your audience and rack up millions of views or parodies? Is it worth the negative press to push views on YouTube? Lazy asses. We think not. Hardee’s should try out something called a marketing plan.

Hardee’s is owned CKE Restaurants, which also owns Carl’s Jr. who is responsible for that Paris Hilton car wash spot that caused so much trouble. Both ads were Los Angeles-based advertising agency, Mendelsohn|Zien. Sex sells. Fine. Fine. But have some forethought about where you try and shill it.

Along with this spot, Hardee’s conducted a survey of 2,000 Americans to see, which celebs had the flattest butts. Ryan Seacrest and the recently preggers Nicole Ritchie won top honors.
