Posh And Beck’s Perfume Ads
September 10, 2007
We’re kind of obsessed with David Beckham’s money making abilities for the brands he reps, as well as himself. Beckham and his lil’ bitty wife Posh have just released the imagery for their fragrance, Intimately Beckham Night. Yes, that’s what it’s called. The pics were shot by the new Annie Leibovitz aka Terry Richardson, and show the couple posing in their bed. These are meant to support the actual ads, which as you can see above, are horribly art directed and what’s with the trashy design of the bottles? They should just nix these and run with the couple looking like they are actually being intimate.
It was created by French perfumer Coty, the firm behind scents for Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss. Victoria told the Daily Mail that: ‘I would go to the factory in Barcelona and work with the perfumers. David loved it because he got all these little sample bottles.’
She’s a real worker bee, ain’t she?

Ewwww. Ewwww, ewwww, ewwww. (Now, if the Beckhams’new scent finds its way into a body wash, I might consider using THAT, as this print campaign definitely makes me feel like I need a long, hot shower…)

I’m just worried what their kids are going to think of this when they are old enough to get it.
It’s like, EVERYONE has seen their parents in bed now.
Creepy.

Hey spy…
Have you ever heard “Becks” speak? It’s like Mickey Mouse on Helium. And once Posh was asked about her favorite books, she said I don’t read books, just fashion magazines. What a pair. Fuck, I’m jealous of all that money though!

Agency Spy recommends they run images of Posh & Becks being intimate? Are you kidding? This is about unabashed trash. P&B are trash royalty and these ads are perfect for them.

[...] is a limited edition line for Coty that is separate and distinct from that of Posh and Beck’s “Intimately Beckham” scent. Those ads are even harder to look at and not nearly as funny or inventive as Posh’s Marc [...]
