TBWA/Chiat Day’s Cafeteria Offerings
August 28, 2007
TBWA Chiat/Day Los Angles makes an appearance in a Business Week article about The Most Innovative Corporate Kitchens. While Cisco is pushing healthy holistic living and Google of course, has 26 outlets on their compound at which employees can get some grub and often, for free. Most of the article is about how employers are trying to help their employees stay healthy and thus, work better. That’s when TBWA/Chiat Day enters the picture:
“Or it can be a place where a company can demonstrate its style and values to potential clients. That’s a big deal to the Los Angeles office of TBWA Chiat Day, an advertising firm that also contracts with Bon Appetit.”
Right it’s always, always about the client first. Forget your employees possible happiness. Oh… maybe that’s why we keep hearing about the LA office’s mass exodus.
“Everything we do reflects on us,” says Carol Madonna, the firm’s director of operations. “Image is so important, and when we can wow the client with food, that’s a big deal.” The firm’s chef even whipped up a batch of breakfast dishes that incorporated rice on the morning of a new-business pitch session with Uncle Ben’s. One menu item: multigrain quiche.”
Ohhh… how innovative. What a great way to help your pitch! Do you think that they just served that good stuff up to the client and then left some stale croissants in the common room?
Hmm… we’re wondering if your big, bad agency does it better. Let us know in the comments section.
