Serena Williams new commercial for HP is out. Created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the spot is the latest addition to their “Computer is Personal Again” campaign. It’s creatively a lot of fun featuring all sorts of overlays, animation, sliding screens, etc. Here’s our problem… the spot is more like an ad for Serena than it is for HP.

    Well let’s be real here, the HP ‘Personal’ ads are great and rooted in the strength of associating the brand with the celebs. But I don’t know anyone in the creative fields, like those of the onscreen talent, who would use PC over a Mac if logically comparing products. So this Serena spot is just cashing in on her cache, not her own laptop use. Serena = HP Laptop
