StrawberryFrog Picks Up $100M
August 8, 2007
StrawberryFrog just landed the $100M pan-European business to launch GM/Opel/Vauxhall’s new Agila model. Debuting this spring, the Frog’s Amsterdam office will be handling the creative. The agency beat out those saps at McCann, as well as
some other fine agencies like Delaney Lund Knox Warren and Australie of Paris.
The Agila is designed with the modern European lady in mind. She’s between the ages of 25 to 45-year-olds is kinda chic and probably doesn’t do a lot of cooking at home. StrawberryFrog apparently convinced Olivier Danan, the European communications director at Vauxhall Opel, that they understood exactly who and what this woman wants.
Business Week reported that The Frog is open to investment from Publicis with Chief executive officer Scott Goodson admitted to being in talks. Well, well, well… Look, we love the indie shops it’s true. However, there’s also no such thing as selling out anymore. If ya’ need the cash to grow… Anyone know what the deal is?
