Aquafina recently got ordered to place labels on their water bottles that say hey - it’s just tap water. Penn & Teller have released this video that exposes the truth of bottled water with interviews and consumer input. The even hold a taste test in which consumers pick the tap water taste over the bottled water. Truth in advertising is the new trend. It’s one step beyond transparency and consumers are leading the charge. The video has got about 25,000 views since June 30th, but it’s just hit Digg, so we’re betting the views are set to explode. Anyone with a water account better start thinking of some new way to market your products.

I saw that one…it was an eyeopener. I’ve seen a trend with environmentalist getting on the bottled water ban trail as well. I thought I just saw something recently about San Francisco looking at a ban on the bottled water with the truth coming out. Advertisers are going to begin banning Penn & Teller pretty soon, or running for the hills when they see them approach.
